Possible Scenarios
Please note that all characters will initially arrive in their assigned housing; they are free to explore the City to their heart's content after that!

01. Arriving: You're pretty sure you knew where you were before you closed your eyes. But somewhere between then and now, you discover that you're definitely not there. In fact, the setting is so unfamiliar to you that it's bordering on unnerving and questions start to stack. Have you been abducted? Did you get drunk and pass out somewhere and not remember? Whatever the case, you need some answers. Or maybe this is familiar and the only thing that doesn't make sense is the layer of dust on everything around you which obviously means some time has passed. How much? No one seems to know. What you do know is that sitting around and waiting for answers is likely not going to happen.

So, you set out and hope to run into someone in the City that looks like they may be in a similar situation. Or, at the very least a person that might be able to provide some explanation. Veteran Chosen, make sure you warn the new people about the Shadows and advise them to steer clear of dark alleys and things that go bump in the night.

02. Party, party!: Now that you've arrived and hopefully settled, it's time to unwind. Inside your welcome basket is an invitation from the Duchess, who has decided to celebrate the growing population of the City with a massive "Welcome to the City" party in the Tower District. Wine spills free, and drugs abound, this is the kinda party that caters to all! The wicked and debauched demons and the good and decent who, if not careful, might end up tainted and corrupted at some point, like everyone else. Even if it's only for one night, why not cut loose and forget about whatever is pressing on your mind?

Nothing to wear? Check your closet, we're sure you'll find something suitable to wear.

03. Prominence: Everyone knows that the City sometimes influences its population on a monthly basis. Unfortunately, you arrived right in the middle of a heavy Prominence. Lust, Greed, Gluttony, Envy, Wrath, Sloth, or Pride: choose your sin and get wicked. You'll find it's hard to avoid being sinful, almost as if your basic instincts are taking over.

04. Run!: A lot can go wrong in the City; demon attacks, muggings or there's even danger of being plucked from the streets and forced to partake in the Coliseum's version of Fight Club (if you know, you know). There are plenty of unsavoury types that all Chosen must be aware of. They rule the night, and once the sun goes down it becomes the Sinning Hour. Demons and monsters and humans capable of inciting just as much fear, if not more, come out to play. Mind yourself. It's hardly a tea party out there.

05. Network: Broadcast a video, voice or text message to anyone in your phone's directory. All Chosen have a device that they can use to communicate. Those that are returning will find their phone as it was, though without any contact that was previously in the City that is not currently. For the newly Chosen, a device will be supplied in your welcome basket and will match the type of telecommunications that was being used at the time of their exit.

Devi had been soaking in the ambiance or a place once called home, it's smells and sounds brighter and louder than they seemed to have been before - a side affect from being stuck where she was, she supposes, but nonetheless, she was enamored with the City and the faces that she was getting to see again.

Like Anakin's. She stops at the 'hey' and looks over, breaking into a broad grin.

"Anakin Skywalker." Oh, she remembered him. A lot of him and there was an urge to throw herself towards him and smother him with a hug. But thankfully, she and her restraint knew well enough that she might be remembering different or more fully than him.

"Yeah. Devi - Devi D, technically, but- You're looking good! Whole and everythin'. Welcome back to the City! Surprised to see you here, how longs it been?"

A grin spread on his - just something about remembering and being remembered when you've hopped alternate dimensions once again. Even if their memories of each other didn't line up perfectly.

Anakin remembered Devi's kindness and willingness to help him understand this strange City despite him not being wholly what she'd maybe hoped for.

A hug wouldn't have been unwelcome, but maybe the moment had passed and it would be awkward to try now.

"Are people showing up not whole?" That sounded unfun and unfair- Anakin knowing first hand, no pun intended, what it felt like to not be whole. And it showed with his cybernetic hand holding the strap of his backpack.

He thought about how long it had been and shook his head, "Time is a flat circle for me, so..." he shrugged, "Hard to say- A day? An eternity? Both? But how about you? Did you end up somewhere else between then and now?" Which was a weird question from one point of view, but maybe it wouldn't be for Devi.

"Oh shit," she says, eyes falling on his cybernetics, eyebrows lifting as she half laughs. Normal people would say sorry. Devi thinks it's funny that she overlooked it completely. Of course he's whole. All 4 limbs and everything.

"If they are, they're shit outta luck because I think our cybernetics guy didn't make the world shift." Good thing they had Anakin - if he was still into building mechanics like that.

"I always end up in the same place. On Twisted Street. But as far as how long.." She shakes her head and shrugs with a wave of her hand, leaving the laissez faire tone of it for another brightening. She might be slightly manic fresh out of the box here. Look, it was just nice to see people.

"All that matters is that we're back. So-" She claps her hands once. "Where were you headed, what are we checking on?"

Anakin hadn't yet thought past 'Oh, I am here now, agian,' to 'Now that I am here, what am I going to do?'

He would be open to helping anyone who arrived in a state less than whole, if there was someone here to help him with the biological aspect of it all, as he was sorely lacking in the depths of understanding that particular side of things. He knew his own body and could work on his own arm, but knowing another's like that was something else entirely.

"You know," Anakin said with a shrug. "I really didn't have a set destination." Other than to avoid the shadows. "What were you checking out? Is everything you remembered still here?"

"I don't know yet. The best coffee shop in town still is, Kate's cupcake shop Flour Power is there but closed down-" Still a good thing. A thing to be hopeful for. "Haven't made it down to the warehouse area yet to see if OHM and my art shop is still there, but I'm hoping they are."

She takes a big dramatic breath in and kicks off the ground to float almost lazily in the air, slightly tilted as she 'sat back'. There was no Ki holding up her elbows either, this was literally just for show. She'd missed the Show Of Life.

"When I feel like thinking about it, I'll be going to check out the Barrier too. Wanna see the state of it, if anything's different. If it's there at all." You know, the important stuff.

Devi's display of power drew an appreciative smirk from Anakin. The kinds of actions that would prompt a scolding from a austere Jedi Master would usually get this kind of reaction from him, even if the individual showing off didn’t have a connection to the Order. It was the same kind of energy.

“Wait- You have an art shop here?” he asked, wholly interested. “We should go, see if it is still here.”

It had and would continue to be ages since Devi ruminated on the few Jedi Master's she'd run across, but earning a scolding from them was one of the bests kinds of fun.

"Yeah - a Girl's gotta make a living somehow, right? And that was always my plan at home. My being here won't get in the way." Big hair flip energy with that statement. Nothing as small as a reality change was going to stop her.

"But sure, let's roll. It shouuuuuuuuld-" She drew out the word out as she glanced around and squinted in one direction, lean finger pointing that way. "Be that way. You can never tell what infrastructure a place is gonna manage to keep - you know how rare it is for shit like this to happen?"

She was honestly excited.
