TEST DRIVE MEME
Thinking about joining Iterum? Unsure of who to bring or if they'll even fit the setting? Posting here offers you the chance to find out how they'll do while getting the sample for done for their application.
→ Comment down below with the character you'd like to test drive in the setting. Don't forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario or create your own, and tag around!
→ Test drives will be posted regularly in the months of March, June, September, and December.
→ Threads in the test drive are NOT eligible to use for activity checks, however, you can make them game canon if you wish and both you and your scene partner agree.
Possible Scenarios
Please note that all characters will initially arrive in their assigned housing; they are free to explore the City to their heart's content after that!
01. Arriving: You're pretty sure you knew where you were before you closed your eyes. But somewhere between then and now, you discover that you're definitely not there. In fact, the setting is so unfamiliar to you that it's bordering on unnerving and questions start to stack. Have you been abducted? Did you get drunk and pass out somewhere and not remember? Whatever the case, you need some answers. Or maybe this is familiar and the only thing that doesn't make sense is the layer of dust on everything around you which obviously means some time has passed. How much? No one seems to know. What you do know is that sitting around and waiting for answers is likely not going to happen.
So, you set out and hope to run into someone in the City that looks like they may be in a similar situation. Or, at the very least a person that might be able to provide some explanation. Veteran Chosen, make sure you warn the new people about the Shadows and advise them to steer clear of dark alleys and things that go bump in the night.
02. Party, party!: Now that you've arrived and hopefully settled, it's time to unwind. Inside your welcome basket is an invitation from the Duchess, who has decided to celebrate the growing population of the City with a massive "Welcome to the City" party in the Tower District. Wine spills free, and drugs abound, this is the kinda party that caters to all! The wicked and debauched demons and the good and decent who, if not careful, might end up tainted and corrupted at some point, like everyone else. Even if it's only for one night, why not cut loose and forget about whatever is pressing on your mind?
Nothing to wear? Check your closet, we're sure you'll find something suitable to wear.
03. Prominence: Everyone knows that the City sometimes influences its population on a monthly basis. Unfortunately, you arrived right in the middle of a heavy Prominence. Lust, Greed, Gluttony, Envy, Wrath, Sloth, or Pride: choose your sin and get wicked. You'll find it's hard to avoid being sinful, almost as if your basic instincts are taking over.
04. Run!: A lot can go wrong in the City; demon attacks, muggings or there's even danger of being plucked from the streets and forced to partake in the Coliseum's version of Fight Club (if you know, you know). There are plenty of unsavoury types that all Chosen must be aware of. They rule the night, and once the sun goes down it becomes the Sinning Hour. Demons and monsters and humans capable of inciting just as much fear, if not more, come out to play. Mind yourself. It's hardly a tea party out there.
05. Network: Broadcast a video, voice or text message to anyone in your phone's directory. All Chosen have a device that they can use to communicate. Those that are returning will find their phone as it was, though without any contact that was previously in the City that is not currently. For the newly Chosen, a device will be supplied in your welcome basket and will match the type of telecommunications that was being used at the time of their exit.
06. Wild Card: Choose your own adventure in the game's multiple settings!

Bianca | Doctor Who expanded universe | Open!
None of this place is familiar, but that doesn't bother Bianca. It may have been many long years since she called herself an adventuress, but it's like riding a bicycle, and she hasn't lost the knack.
She walks the streets in an increasing circle around the Tower, building up her mental map and looking for inhabitants. If you're not too obviously trying not to be observed, you may be greeted by a dark lady in a sleek, black dress. She is not tall, but she carries herself as though she is, and she walks with the confidence of a cat, as though all places are alike to her.
II. PARTY
Now this is more like it. Bianca is in her element. She's wearing a butter-soft leather underbust corset and not very much else. She has small breasts and strong dancer's legs, and she walks as though she's carrying a whip although all she actually carries is her tequila glass.
When she empties this, she turns to whoever's nearest, almost smiling.
"I know you aren't a waiter, dear heart, but - would you mind?"
party!
However, he had been a servant of sorts before coming to the city, so he is somewhat used to people—his master anyway—asking him to do things.
"Not at all," he replies, his Yorkshire accent somewhat pronounced. "What is it you're drinking?"
Re: party!
"Oh - tequila, please. It's so kind of you. Are you also new here?"

"Well. At least they're pleased to see us, here."
no subject
"They should be, if our being brought 'ere was purposeful move on their part."
party!
Yet, part of her is also hoping to find Jack there.
The pirate looks up, eyes drifting from the empty glass to the woman's face. "Mind doin' what?"
Re: party!
Then she lets a small smile leak into her face and, decision made, she rises to her feet.
"Come with me and we'll find something to drink. And then we can talk."
no subject
Following as she stands, there is some defiance in the way the pirate watches her, but within a matter of moments, there's something alluring enough that piques her interest enough to join Bianca.
At the very least for some company.
no subject
"Oooh, sandwiches! You carry those, I shall get us some bottles. I am Bianca - what would you like to drink?"
no subject
"How 'bout that one," she points to a particularly intriguing dark blue bottle that was wine, according to the label. As Biana busies herself with loading up, Anne takes a moment to smell one of the sandwiches.
"What the fuck is between the bread? Is it even bread? Don't look much like it?" she mostly chats to herself, but is loud enough to be heard.
no subject
She takes a platter of nibbles, strategically replaces some of them with different nibbles, takes Anne's dark blue bottle and two more. Bianca balances plates and trays like someone who's worked in catering, and then she looks around. Parties like this always have private areas - ah, those curtained doors look like it.
"This way, I think. There are little rooms to fuck in, but they're also a quiet place we can talk. I want to hear all about you."
no subject
"I don't mind at all, love. Having a grand time out there?" He asked, sounding polite, the glass still in his hands as he looked at her curiously. Dorian should have sensed something from his time around the Doctor, Reinette and his ill-fated relationship with Sarah Jane Smith. Yet, nothing clicked in the Malkavian's mind except that it was a nice party.
no subject
"Not yet," she answers. "But the night is young. Where did they bring you from?"
no subject
That gleam in her eyes though, he can see that clear as day. It tickles something deep inside of him. "Oh, very young indeed." Sure, the sun doesn't affect him here, but he'd never be a day person, hundreds of years of nights wouldn't be easily overwritten as multiple worlds had proven. "From all around, love. Most recently...." He tips his head some, closing one eye as he bit his lip in thought. "Either here, or my old house in Georgia... It's kinda blurry if I am honest." He shrugged and straighten up. "And what about you? Where did this kooky cosmic dance hall pull you from?"
Great, now he was going to have Dance Hall Days by Wang Chung stuck in his head again. Oh well.
